Valencian Community Volunteers’ Platform

PVCV – Platafoma de Voluntariat de la Comunitat Valenciana (Valencian Community Volunteers’ Platform) is a network of non-profit organisations made up of different entities, which are united by the common nexus of volunteering, with the idea of promoting and disseminating Voluntary Action in Society. The network is composed by a huge number of entities and focused on different issues of our society such a Cáritas (charity), ADAI (people suffered Ictus) and ASPANION (child cancer), so it is possible to perform volunteering action in different NGOs. The general objectives of the association are grouped in six groups and are the following:

Volunteering. To promote and raise awareness of volunteering in society, as well as to make society aware of the meaning, commitment and objectives of its contribution. Collaboration. In order to exchange work experiences and facilitate collaboration mechanisms among its members, and other social actors involved. Administration. For the consideration of the existing legal reality and with the aim to participate permanently in the elaboration of proposals on volunteering policies, seeking mechanisms of articulation with the Administration. Spokesperson. Be present in national and international forums and defend the interests and independence of organised volunteering against other public or private actors. Activities. Joint activities with its members, as well as to propose areas of common action with other platforms for social action and awareness raising. Training. With the aim to promote the training of volunteers as an instrument for social change, for the benefit of the most disadvantaged groups.
