ROUTE WB6 - Regional Cross Border Volunteer Program

Volunteer exchange programmes

The project promotes volunteering development through policy to increase the outreach of young people who volunteer. It establishes a regional volunteer service and regional volunteer programme called ROUTE WB6. 50 individuals will have the opportunity to get involved in long-term exchanges and around 500 young people will participate in group volunteer exchanges.

The overall objective of ROUTE WB6 project is to make young people from WB region drivers of reconciliation and societal reconstruction, enabling them to apply European values, initiate and lead intercultural dialogue and regional cooperation towards socio-economic and democratic development.

Promotes peacebuilding in the region and volunteers will support local initatives.

Quality Standards of project with volunteers

I declare that my project meets all the quality requirements here listed

  • There are clear, planned outcomes for the local community based on identified needs.
  • Volunteers bring added value to the project and don’t replace paid staff.
  • Volunteers are recruited, trained and managed according to the quality volunteer management cycle.
  • The conditions of the opportunity are inline with the relevant legal framework in the country/ region concerned. Eg regarding insurance, expenses payments, agreements/contracts etc.
  • The volunteers are celebrated and thanked for their time and commitment.
