The aim of the project was to organise two workshops: confectionary and carpentry. This was supposed to help participants of the project to find a job and avoid social exclusion.

ST. Brother Albert Society of Help and Assistance in Rzeszow

ST. Brother Albert Society of Help and Assistance in Rzeszow is a Catholic, secular ad independent public benefit organization. Its mission is helping the poor and homeless including people addicted to drugs or alcohol. The society provides help to people living alone and people leaving prison. The organization also trains volunteers. ST Brother Albert is the patron of the organization.

The project aimed to help local community - people living in Rzeszow city (21 men and 21 women). The target group consisted of unemployed people in risk of social exclusion and poverty due to long unemployment period. Participants attended professional workshops and additional courses like: motivation course, computer literacy training, entrepreneurship workshop, social competence training and more. All the activities aimed to help participants gain essential skills and qualifications in order to find a job. Learning new skills and social habits would allow successful reintegration process.

Quality Standards of project with volunteers

I declare that my project meets all the quality requirements here listed

  • There are clear, planned outcomes for the local community based on identified needs.
  • Volunteers bring added value to the project and don’t replace paid staff.
  • Volunteers are recruited, trained and managed according to the quality volunteer management cycle.
  • The conditions of the opportunity are inline with the relevant legal framework in the country/ region concerned. Eg regarding insurance, expenses payments, agreements/contracts etc.
