The Academy of the Future was founded in 2003 and has been helping children who do not believe in themselves and have low self-esteem ever since. The slogan of the Academy of the Future is "Head up!".

How does the Academy of the Future work?
- The Academy works with schools to find children who have various difficulties: with low self-esteem, with relationships or with learning.
- Each child has a personal tutor who is a trained volunteer. The child meets his tutor for individual lessons once a week.
- The aim and task of the tutor is to find the real causes of the child's difficulties, understand them and find a solution together, and then develop the child's strengths. Thanks to this, the child has an individual approach.
- All the child's achievements and successes (both small and large) are entered in the Success Index funded by the Donor for a specific child.

- participation in the ceremonial inauguration, during which the child receives an index
- participation in meetings with inspiring people
- participation in exploratory expeditions and adventures
- Children's Day in the chair of the president of a company or institution

Stowarzyszenie WIOSNA ("SPRING" Association)

The SPRING Association is a non-profit organization. The mission is to promote solidarity with the needy, to mediate in the organization of assistance and create a civic society. The activities of the SPRING Association are mainly based on volunteering. All projects of the association concern assistance that takes place at different stages (1. in-depth analysis of needs, 2. wise, well-thought-out effective assistance to those in need) so as to contribute to changing the lives of these people.

TK Maxx Firma has been the Academy's Strategic Partner since 2014.
Support of the Academy of the Future consists, among other things, in the implementation of recurring rebounds at the cash registers in stores, conducting thematic sales campaigns. In addition, Tk Maxx's headquarters is organized Children's Day in the President's Chair. Employees who organize various charity events are also involved.

BP has been supporting the Academy of the Future for many years. Employees of the company are actively involved in this project. The company donates funds to the Academy in exchange for hours spent by employees to volunteer. BP carried out an exhibition of thesis by Mr. Bartłomiej Szmaja, during which funds were raised for the Academy of the Future.

Okaidi is a French clothing company that offers clothes and accessories for newborns, infants and older children. Okaidi supports SPRING Association projects through the rounded purchase payment tips mechanism. In 2020, the company decided to support the Academy of the Future.

Zendesk is a Scandinavian software company. The company offers an online platform for customer service. Employees of the Krakow branch support the Academy of the Future by being involved in the preparation and conduct of dedicated workshops for children. Zendesk also supports the Academy financially, commensurate with the involvement of its employees in volunteering.

ODO 24 sp. z o.o. deals with the protection of personal data. The company is an example of broad social engagement of business. ODO 24 sp. z o.o. is the Substantive Partner of the SPRING Association. It supports its expertise in the form of training, advice and other specialist services. The Company also carried out an audit in the Association and prepared legally required documentation in this area.

The PFR Foundation is an NGO set up by the Polish the Development Fund. In the last edition of the Academy Partner supported the activities of volunteers, a starting booklet was created for SuperW (tutor), which is a must-have for a novice volunteer who can find information about effective work with the mentee. In addition, there were workshops for children on the history and value of money, as well as training for parents on wise praise of children. A psychological helpdesk for volunteers was also created. Thanks to this, tutors had the opportunity to consult their activities and difficulties with a specialist.

IMM is the Media Monitoring Partner for the ACADEMY OF THE FUTURE. IMM has been cooperating with the Academy of the Future for many years.

The goal of the Academy of the Future is to make the child go through a change and:
- he/she will feel important, accepted and unique,
- he/she will discover his/her own value, which will make him/her believe in his/her abilities, he/she will have the courage to make big dreams and make them come true,
- he/she will gain self-confidence, thanks to which he/she will be able to face difficulties and failures, as well as various challenges that arise in the future.

Tutor's tasks:

- giving the student the opportunity to co-decide,
- understanding the causes of difficulties and finding a good solution,
- looking to the future and seeing the child's potential

The Academy of the Future equips the child with resources and experiences necessary to overcome the existing obstacles. Activities under this action help the child build a sense of self-worth, faith in their abilities, which contributes to the fact that they will be able to cope in adulthood.

  • There are clear, planned outcomes for the local community based on identified needs.
  • Volunteers bring added value to the project and don’t replace paid staff.
  • Volunteers are recruited, trained and managed according to the quality volunteer management cycle.
  • The conditions of the opportunity are inline with the relevant legal framework in the country/ region concerned. Eg regarding insurance, expenses payments, agreements/contracts etc.
  • The volunteers are celebrated and thanked for their time and commitment.
